The Nemaha Valley Health Care Foundation is a charitable tax-deductible foundation dedicated in supporting healthcare and the Nemaha Valley Community Hospital.
Established in 1990, the foundation conducts fundraising activities including an annual charity golf classic held in June and a bi-annual cruise. Donations to the Foundation are tax deductible and funds are used to purchase needed equipment for nursing care as well as facility improvements of the Hospital.
Recent fundraising activities raised funds to support the 2010 addition to the hospital to consolidate the Seneca Family Practice and Hospital under one campus, a DEXA Bone Density Scanner and in 2013 to reconstruct the Emergency Entrance Canopy for better patient care.
For more information, or to make a tax deductible charitable donation, contact Courtney Schmelzle at 785-336-0426 or by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
21st Annual Charity Golf Classic is BIG Success!
The 21st Annual Nemaha Valley Health Care Foundation Charity Golf Classic was held June 23rd at the Spring Creek Golf Course. With 40 teams (120 golfers) competing during the event this year.
This year, proceeds from the tournament will be used toward the Emergency Response Improvement Project. This project will allow Nemaha Valley Community Hospital to increase the capacity to respond to patient emergency medical needs throughout our facility.
Congratulations to Justin Burdiek, Drew Olberding and Scott Carlson for taking first place overall. We’d also like to congratulate Jeff Conner for making a hole in one on #15, he won a $500 Visa Gift Card. Keith Haverkamp was the lucky winner of the Golf Ball Drop and he graciously donated the money back to the Foundation.
Everyone enjoyed great weather, great golf and contributed to a very important benefit. The growth in this tournament each year is an example of the growing support for our hospital and its services. Mark your calendar for June 19, 2018 for next year’s tournament!
